Mike Lycett
Best all Round Fancier is not necessarily where i'd buy birds from.... In Belgium, I'd go for Herbots Bros

GREENGRASS
look out for a fancier called Jos Van Der Veken he has been one of the top consistent fliers in the super competitive Zuiderkempen region.
Guest Silverwings
van der vekan on the button greengrass ? excelent results as are those of Jos Vercammen with those little 'Dark uns' panther line ....ray
GREENGRASS
another to look for silverwings is Kris Van massenhoven who`s base stock is from Van Der Veken and takes all his advice from Jos, also look out for Willy Jacobs and Willy Van Herk very small team fliers but with outstsnding results year in year out against serious competition and well known fanciers. I must admit i am slightly biased to the Van Der Veken birds as i have just taken a delivery of some youngsters from his best birds. Also a name that was famous for middle distance racing was Karel Meuleman(hope i spelt it correctly) is now racing at the distance with some very good results. Guest
Met Silvre Toye, Jos Thone, Eric Limberg and Marc de Coc at the Denver conventionn where they did a seminar, Jos Thone amd Marc de Coc gave the far better presentations. Spent some time chatting with Roger Persoon, waiting for the birds coming back from the race, he talked a lot of good sense too. Just my observations
TheSaddler
I bought a bird from Jos Vercammen during my visit to Antwerp (2004) - A Very inbred family around the Panther - ideal to cross into my FVW family. The lofts and pigeons are superb. But.... the Hen I bought from Luc Geerinckx at the same time has bred more winners. Both birds cost a small fortune though! One thing I will say is my best birds came from Oldbury via the late Jim Smith - So although there are good birds in Belgium we have just as good in England! You just need to do your research..
