if you leave your birds on open hole you will be amazed at what you see them do they behave more normal to wild life that is/ at this moment mine are gathering snails in the morning from the dew on the grass my young birds are just three weeks old and and only two days away from weaning/ they soon get wise to the hawks and do see all types off at times  and young buzzards will chase your birds but very rarely catch one

crap post     i have watched my birds getting hit by percy training(stoop) ,soon after lib splitting them up some heading for the cover of trees the rest scampering away in all directions at FULL TILT ,then percy turns and chased them and caught up within a few hundred yards no probs and all this about 50 yards off the ground so as i have said if you havent watched it happen then dont coment thanx,  ps it never got any but did outrun my healthy fit young birds giving them a head start .THIS IS FACT

I have seen more kills on game with all different species of raptors than you have clocked winners in  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.... I don't comment on things i know jack sh** about either i have flown raptors at game kept birds of prey for many years, before i decided to have a go at racing pigeons...... I don't know probably half or even a quarter of what some of the fanciers on here know about racing pigeons that's why i don't give advice or comment... But i presume where all different Hotrod yea, how many raptors have you flown? probably none but you def know for sure that a peregrine can tail chase a racing pigeon and catch it for sure ?  Why didn't the peregrine that stooped at your young birds when liberated tail chase and catch 1? Do you think the peregrine was playing,  it didn't catch one because it wasn't fast enough tail chasing... When a peregrine attacks it goes in for the kill it isn't messing about about wasting energy trying to make in on a kill.. I read lots of sh** on here about Raptors i don't comment much for the simple reason  it causes lots of sh**....

john k never once mate if you read any of my posts did i say that percy catch a pigeon in a straight line so to speak as pigeons can out manouvre them easily ,but i can assure you they could outrun a pigeon no probs ,catching it at that  speed no chance thats why they stoop . maybe the one that chased my y/bs was a young inexperienced bird who knows ,but it defo caught up and had a go at them from a standing start  and a head start.

there is a big big difference between a captive way of hunting to the real thing .how do you know it was not fast enough or just having a bad day ,they catch more by tail chasing than they do by stooping ,other wise we would see more of it because of the amount of percys that are out there .
