200 Mile challenge

Just had a thought, how about having a 200 mile challenge race on old birds.

The way I see it working is that entrants send in the position of their best three birds, plus number of lofts and total birdage for race and we can work the result out on a co-efficient programme we have on the computer.

I think it would be fun and open to flyers on both sides of the Big Pond

You nominate your birds or whatever the members decide. when the race has been flown, you send your results by e-mail to me

Position o your three birds, number of Lofts, total number of birds entered in race and we will load them into our puter programme

YES BUT WILL THE WIND NOT PLAY A BIG PART IN THIS AS IF YOU ARE FLYING IN TO SCOTLAND AND THE WIND IS FROM THE NORTH THEN THE BIRDS GOING DOWN IN TO ENGLAND WILL HAVE A GOOD HELP OR THE OTHER WAY ABOUT

Thanks to all who have shown interest in my idea.

I think the consensus of opinion seems to go with entering yearlings.

what I need from all who have shown interest is an e-mail to me at linda@redroselofts.com, giving me your full name and addy. loft name and PB nickname and thedistance you will be competing from, then I can start setting up the database.  If you know the ring numbers so much the better you can also send those, but they will do later.

I don't race old birds, so I won't be entering but Steve (Birdman) will be putting a team in.
