A thorough investigation will be carried out to determine whether this person acted alone, or at the behest of another individual... It's a painful, painful matter for all the volunteers we are and lovers of our passion... We fought to have a Frenchman present at every event, and such acts tarnish a whole job and discredit French Colombophilia... We are waiting for the follow up, but it is likely that a complaint will be filed against this person in the coming days. I'm sure I'll summon this person and I'll ask Benoit to be present... If other Colombophilia are responsible for this act, we need to know and ban them from our sport... I also warned the Belgian leaders that we would withdraw French convoyers from the other upcoming trials.
