Its a pity EVERY FED ( in Scotland ) didn't put their heads together and liberate on the same day. This one up-manship is detrimental to the pigeon sport. Feds going on different days trying to outwit each other and wishing the worst on each other is pathetic imo and will be the ruin of the sport in no time.

this coming weekends forecast isnt great for Saturday ! i wonder if we will see a "put back 24 hours" for Sunday racing again this time ?

a decision has been raised (a good one too) . no race Saturday , if possible Sunday basket am for an afternoon race . failing that hope for Monday with same plan as basket am , race afternoon.

if the forecast is correct there is no chance of a race saturday or sunday for lanarkshire without risk of a disaster for the birds if one of the torrential showers that are forecast hit the batch the race is over and the season for many fanciers are we really that desperate to win a youngbird race

and if its right your birds are away for two days for nothing and the chance of catching something in the basket cancel or basket one or two hours later on monday for a tuesday race and give the workers time to get home and sort there birds no need for any fed to be basketting birds at 4 and 5 oclock in races under 100 miles plenty of time to get to the race points no wonder its a dying sport help each other dont hinder

ps and you can get a race anyday if your willing to lose birds

it takes 4 hours tae pick Lanarkshire up watty so you want clubs picked up after 12 on a Friday night tae suit you

It's a working man's sport. 99%of the working population work Mondays. What happened before social media? Birds were basketted Friday and held over if the Saturday was not race weather. This needs brought back in. If the birds are not at the racepoint we won't get a race. Forecast has been wrong too often in recent weeks.
