What's the thoughts on using creosote in the hut on several things.

If you use it, what you doing with it, floor, boxes, beer mats etc.

I use it on my floors and bottom of nestboxes, but I also use grills. Once it is dry I sprinkle some woodchip on the floors. :)

Dip beer mat in it ...let it dry overnight ...put it under nestbowls....nae wee beasties

Quite hard to get real creosote nowadays

Brilliant. Give it two weeks or so to dry … else birds will be marked.
New a very good farmer, who had his loft in one of his fields. He was a very, very good fancier. Every two years he gave a couple of labourers, I believe, A week-end chore of cleansing his lofts to the bone. Droppings went on gardens etc. Then the lofts were splashed and every crank and nookie filled with Creosote. Left a while to dry out and then birds put back to breed before racing. Never had any ailments etc. Birds always a picture to look at, and results were top notch.
Pigeons Interests ... before Fanciers ego's!
