Bird returned having suffered a peregrine strike covered in oil what is best /safest way to remove

Thanks Mick

We had a cock that came home covered in oil . We bathed it in all things but in the end the moult was the only thing that cured it. Next year it scored from Clermont

Johnson baby shampoo, wet the pigeon with Luke warm water apply shampoo with shaving brush, rinse in basin of Luke warm water make sure u get all the shampoo off, the bird will be totally soaked, Dry with hair dryer, it takes 3 or 4 days before the natural oils return to the feather. I forgot to mention baby shampoo does not irritate their eyes.
