Roland
Shame if you did, but that girl Laura Muir showed again the true tenacity of a true a Scot! Demolished a decent field yesterday. Shame there wasn't a force to push her, for Laura wouldn't have just run the 3rd fasted Indoor mile of all time, but odds were that she would have broken another record... The 'World indoor' record I feel. Soon out on her, pace makers faded, Laura started to leave the field standing, winning by over 11 seconds. Yes it needed some one to challenge her and stay with her … But with two laps still to go, the strain, effort started to show and hurt. With her you certainly get what you see. Roll on the Glasgow games.

Roland
yes she is a runner . Agreed … and she is a winner. Following in a few other Scottish sports person of great tenacity. Sadly the working as a team has often let them down. The great Jock Stein formed a great Celtic side of Scots in a very close proximately. He famously said. Had to, they can only understand each other then' lol. What an Era that was eh! Shortly after, the Scottish footballing sides of 1978 and 1982 were as good as, if not better than any side in the 'World cup'. Indeed were reckoned as the side to beat! The manager then the great Ally McLeod was the manager who told all and sundry that Scotland were going to Argentina to win the World Cup. His magnificent optimism was sadly misplaced though and his team returned home with nothing but egg on their faces. If was so confident that he never bothered to see or take note of the other teams, to his great shame."You can mark down 25 June 1978 as the day Scottish football conquers the world." So said Scotland manager Ally MacLeod as his team set out for the World Cup finals in Argentina. I would say, until recent times that nigh all great sides in the 70's up to the Premier league at least had a dynamo of a scot in the midfield. Roland
How's this for a pointer regards the little lady. She ran the first 1500m in 4.01.83, which is faster than her own British indoor record of 4:02.39. Should stand I say as the new British record! Also it is why I believe that with a class act or two to push her further would have broken the world record instead of being 3rd fasted …. mind that scenario could also mean IF she won. Could work against her and have one or two beat her …
