i think its the maize thats in ruby gold mix........i think it has a larger sugar content than the yellow maize.

it does have higher sugar content  this year i have fed on a thurs & fri adding to the normal feed about 25%

prefer ruby to dogtooth   i have used ruby now for 2yrs and had 2 vry good seasons

wen ever i used red maize for some reason birds were always hungry so came off and went on to extream energy mix

i think we can be to" exact " on the qualities of maize ,,or indeed any other grains,, it often changes from harvest to harvest,, i,e content ,, moisture content etc
