We found this squeaker fantail like this and having never seen anything like it, would like to know what is wrong with it and what best to do with it

Seen this b4 in an older bird, made a small cut and when the bird flapped it,s wings, trapped air escaped, no ill effects. However, wait and see wht others say Dunc m8

Sorry, yes it is full of air, do I use an ordinary needle or a syringe needle

its something to do with when cocks show off a valve does not release the air so it builds up will be fine

Ruptured air sac, put syringe needle in and leave it in while you squeeze air from crop. Put some vaseline over needle puncture when finished

Thanks guys it worked fine, only trouble is while we are holding it it stays deflated, but when we put it back in the nest it inflates again, we had to do it a third time. This time we are keeping it held to see if it make any difference.
We have held it now for about 15 mins and it is staying deflated

before
