I only know John through the shows and not sure how well he does racing but the birds he gets in the supreme champion class at Blackpool are flown birds.

Hi I have aquired a yellow (red) kirkpatrick hen, lovely looking bird. Just wondering the best partner for her really, I have a blue cheq kirkpatrick cock bird, would that pairing produce more of the yellows possibly?
would i be right in saying that any yellows this pair produced,, would be hens?? b,check cock paired with yellow hen
the yellow gene i believe is a faulty gene between two colours red a white white been a lack of pigment and the yellow been a faulty pigmented red indeed yellows will bred both whites and reds the reds more chocolate but the yellow gene although not visable / dominant is carried by birds it breeds like silvers and silvery reds

Also depends on what traits the cock carries. What if the cock also carries dilute? Cocks also carry another colour, don't they? I find genetic stuff very hard to grasp but fascinating.
