whats all this about stock birds ?? in the not so long past , best racer paired to best racer bred our future stock , with the odd pair of non flying out pigeon , . one scenario that needs changing is the idea to novices that stock pigeons are the bee all and end all ! my m8 opposite has about 200 pigeons !! about 30 pair which are stock , young birds mainly not raced because they are from >> blah , blah , blah !!! result being when something does well and i ask whats it from ? it seems to be off something that has raced . am i making sence ?
A good friend of mine had 300 pals and 70 racers about 3 years ago

Or this - another 6x4 with a sputnik taking up most of the length. I have perspex on the top of the sputnik but the sides are mesh so there is a good airflow through the loft.

i think you are spot on people obsessed about fancy pedigrees. i dont think it hurts when you are starting up to breed yourself a few. as with the amount of ybs losses you always have the back up to breed a few more if it all goes wrong.
