Mine is just ply wood flooring that I scrape & hoover each day. Would I be better of using a floor covering of some sort, I used to use hemcore with my budgies but most of it ended up out of the cages!!

yes mine lasted about 6 months then started to smell [good ventilation and all]i like the idea of deep litter, the birds seem to be happier on it,so i am in the market for some, just not chippings anymore,[it took about 12 garden bags to get it out]

well the hempcore been a more plant like product rots alot quicker and makes good compost yup took me a while to get a section cleared but the amount of time it saves by having it is worth it , and they can build there nest with same material as well

not using anythink now but when the young birds where ween this year i used natural floor dressing http://www.natural-granen.com/#undefined/Contact/GRANULATED_FLOORCOVERING will be using it again next year. ive just been watching a dvd Bosheind Flyers. not cleaned his young bird loft for 12 YEARS he belives it build the birds immune system and keeps the likes of ybs away.

I use easibed and i get it from countrywide.  I think it cost about £7-£8 for a 25kg sack.

I change mine twice a year. The w/hood loft after breeding then again after the moult, the youngbird loft (darkness) after moults.
