what is everyone using as floor dressings? im currently using shavings but i dont think they are good. I was considering sand but what alternatives are there?

Mine is just ply wood flooring that I scrape & hoover each day. Would I be better of using a floor covering of some sort, I used to use hemcore with my budgies but most of it ended up out of the cages!! |

i use the under lay they use for horses its brill no dust in the loft u must use 4 to 6 inches in the loft as the dust goes right to the bottom would recemend it to anyone |

mine in stock loft virualy went to dust but was very dry and no smell for a very long time , ybs i change more frequenly last about 2 months i just knock the lumps up around perches |

yes mine lasted about 6 months then started to smell [good ventilation and all]i like the idea of deep litter,the birds seem to be happier on it,so i am in the market for some,just not chippings anymore,[it took about 12 garden bags to get it out] |

well the hempcore been a more plant like product rots alot quicker and makes good compost yup took me a while to get a section cleared but the amount of time it saves by having it is worth it , and they can build there nest with same material as well |
