I am looking for a fancier local to Stockport (Cheadle Hulme).
I've been asked if there is anyone who would be able to help an amateur theatre group Saturday 25th October to Saturday 1st November.
The production is about world war one and group of soldiers one of which has a pigeon. The scene the pigeon is required for lasts about 10 minutes and initially would be in a basket, and they would like to get the pigeon out of the basket and hold it for a short period before the end of the scene.
As far as I know the production is every night from 25th October to 1st November. They are happy to look after the pigeon during this time, or the fancier can bring/take it each night.
The pigeon will feature in the programme, and the fancier will be acknowledged also.
If anyone is able and interested to help these guys out just send me a message and I'll pass details on.

Chrissy and I got in contact with the theatre group as it is quite near us and we now have one of our pigeons appearing in the play, we were given a pair of tickets for the closing night and we are getting a bit excited over the whole thing, we took the bird to the theatre last night [Thursday ] and handed the bird over, the director gave us a guided tour and showed us the room where they will keep the bird, it has been given a large room on its own and they are very keen on the birds welfare and we have absolutely no worries over them looking after it, the pigeon will be in 9 performances over the next week so it will be well seen on stage as it appears right at the front of the stage but sadly the only complaint I have is the name of the pigeon in the play which is England's Glory as it is about the pigeons role in wartime, so there we have it a star in the making.
