Well thats the End of 2008 season .How did you fair and how many are you left for racing in 2009.We ended up with 14 pairs of old birds and 60 youngsters and that goes down to the Race Controlling Team of the Lanarkshire Fed. Also a big thank you to the secretaries and the race marking teams at all levels and to my Auld Partner George for his assistance this year. The North East winds for the first part of the season took their Toll but what you were left with was pigeons that could at least face the 2nd half of the season and if they were bred right and more importantly ( Healthy ) you were half roads there. Our only disappointment was the Late Liberation in the S.N.F.C  from  Leicester which is so unfair flying into the West Section and the youngsters trying to beat the hours of darkness.Good luck on the oncoming season which starts now.

We had a great season at Formula 1 lofts following my house move in April. we still managed 16 X 1st and bred two National winners 1 in the NFC and the other in the BICC also 1st section 6th open central southern classic came from our bloodlines. + many fed and club winners for others.

I only broke a few old birds out so bred a big team of y/b's but will have 60 odd for old birds racing next season. all being well.

all the best

by my reckoning ive had a really good season .Topped the fed once and second fed as well took numerous club cards including a card every channel race.
Youngbirds ive carded every young bird race i entered bar one (because i got a mood on when they wouldnt trap and just clocked my gold ring bird)a few fed cards in there as well 3x1st club in youngbirds as well.
The highlight has got to be a yearling cock i call Superman taking 11the in the middlewich two bird champion of cheshire the same bird was the only bird from niort on the night in the club (only two in fed) taking 1st club 1st fed(by 5 hours) and a combine card to boot.
All in all i'm well pleased now if i can end the season with a breeder buyer win(wich i really fancy ) and a middlewich two bird win i wll be over the moon.

ive had a terrible season..by my standards.
should have had the 1st 3 in the fed but for next doors daughter(14yr) banging on the fence...next to my loft,,to make it worst..after everything her mother shouts to her...melisa stop that banging ur giving me an headache.....ended up losing 6mins and ended up 1st club and still scored in the fed...but its in the clock that counts.
then in youngbirds had a fly away on 1st week of letting younbirds out...only 1 reported.
then in the week due to send racing them i had sickness come onto my birds.
got them over that then had to wait while they got back to fitness, too late to start racing as the fed had gone too far down the programme...had to wait till comebacks..now im starting my younbird racing tonite 54ml comeback...then next two weeks two 77mls races.
wot a year ive had....my 1st full season back in the sport....some wins in oldbirds just to make it seem a little better.

My birds are getting better every weekend, im still losing one or two too many but thats to be expected for  a new team of breeders. I have 25 two year old cocks and 10 2 year old hens to channel fly next year so they should do me proud.

In my sprint middle section i have 16 cocks and 1 pigeon has failed to be place in the top 20 of the combine upto 5500b.

In 1 and 1/2 seasons i have won 1st, 1st 2nd 2nd 3rd 3rd 3rd 4th 4th 5th 5th 5th 5th 6th 6th 6th 6th 7th 7th 7th 8th 9th 9th 9th 9th 10th 10th Open West of england South Road Combine lowest birdage 3021b highest 6010b. Now its time to change my direction and try my hand over the water and the national program.

For those of you who are lucky enough to be in the Lanarkshire Area today the Scottish National Flying Club 2008 Latebred Sale kicks of at 16.00pm in Newmains club rooms and it may be your only opportunity to obtain some of the very best in Scotland. If you are at the Bar ask for Tam Richardson who will buy you a pint.

must say had a very enjoyable y/b season flying with lanarkshire fed, at present have 30 plus youngsters which have flown between 4 and 7 races, yes we would all like more distance but the experience gained will prove invaluable for the future,we only got 130mls but still sent to the yb national 260 plus miles for the first time in a couple of years, sending 7 clocked 4,5 home with 2 taking good positions, looking forward to 2009 with some yearlings for a change.
