Wanting to get hold of either a training crate or wicker basket, not sure which would be best though, wooden training crate looks easier to keep clean. Any ideas of where best to buy one? |

yes the crates are easy to clean but then again so are the wicker baskets as i just jet wash them and put them out to dry on a sunny day and easily dried ..they get a coat of varnish every 2 or 3 years and it keeps them like new got a wicker pannier that is 30 years old and still as new |

I use both but prefer crates, I put grilles in the bottom with newspaper underneath, easy to clean and no shavings etc left in your car!

Our fed did away with out crates for the RV woodcraft ones (made to measure transporter etc) Im not knocking the single units that they sell as not seen them however the ones our fed got our absolute Sh**e - less than 2 years old and falling apart and looking tired and worn the old ones are between 10-20 years old and fantastic condition still |

I did say the single units may not be the case.
A fed crate will get a lot more hammer than a usual personal one.
When i am at the transporter maybe next week i will show some pictures to prove my point - I have often been told that nowdays things are not built to last like they used to be - maybe there is truth in that.

They have some useful looking bits on that site, and only about 50min drive from me. The box perches seem a good price as well |

I dont think its not built to last Vallance i think people just dont take pride in there work now like they used to.Thats in every walk of life in the society we live in at the moment. |
