All these reports are best summed up by saying it is wheather typical of around this time of year, so i'll ask again, what we doing racing young birds from 250 miles on the 6th of September.

I know, but Gordon Brown was a good Chancoller for the last couple of years as well mate.

Its crazy and we all know it,but always done it so will continue to do it.

Many a good bird lost to september winds and rain, just as there will be this year.

Rab

what is your solution?? start racing young birds in the middle of june so they have experience to go to 250 miles at end of july?? and we could start the old birds in march!!!! if you dont want to race 250 mile in september keep them at home. pentland are racing from newark on 27th September and there is every chance the weather will be better then than it is now

Rab we have had poor racing conditions most weeks with east in the wind which as stated no good to man or beast ,the English feds race till end of Sept , we have to have a Scottish National race or should we have it say middle of August from around 150miles into central Scotland. In
National flying club, some members only fly say 50-60 miles , may be the way forward, better entry and with most feds struggling to get to  150miles it may be the way forward with clubs having their last race with the National , safety in numbers.
