we were amazed at the amount of pigeons bearing rings in the town centre at cardiff,they were happily wandering around st mary street with the wild pigeons,and we also noticed how some of them looked,not shabby or ill looking.they looked a picture of good health,some of them had the white shiny looking dust on their feathers.we counted 23 birds wearing rings some had rubber race rings on as well.couldnt get near to them to read numbers on rings.just shows were some of our losses end up.

why doesnt someone go to the towns and try and catch them , i have read posts on here about an old fella who goes into his town and catches rung birds then sends them on to their owners ????

not many fanciers would get off their lazy a**e`s so,why should some else help them,majority of fanciers wont !!!!

Would agree with you Bewted,but if someone does go to the bother spends time catching these pigeons,what then reporting them would be the logical thing,now there have been many points of view regarding reporting in a previous thread,so thats not feasiable,due to reaction of owners in the majority,its a vicous circle,the conclusion I draw,from this is a very large percentage of fanciers,dont give a damn about the welfare of their birds,  this is proven beyond doubt to me by the votes regarding their welfare on another thread,it reads terrible,but in my opinion,its fairly accurate.

i have followed your story birdlady i can only say thank you very much for looking after a pigeon that the fancier is not too fussed on ,,,,your one of lifes gems to a pigeon !!
