Not sure on the exact rule. But if the convoyer reports an escapee, the race is null un void and needs to be raced again, i would have thought, just my opinion.

I thought that within the convoyers code of conduct / rules they had to carry equiptment to re-rubber unless they know which basket the bird came fromthen they could just re-rubber that basket.

Without looking at the rule book, I think the ring numbers of all remaining birds need to be recorded.  Makes sense.

if there is a record of which basket each bird is in they just have to re rubber that basket otherwise the whole lot should be rerubbered. ets rung birds should have their registration ring recorded. personally i dont see the need to rerubber if the registration rings are checked

We had a race i think in 05 from 68 miles we clocked in after 59 minutes and had all within 15 minutes however a fancier beat us clocking in after 44 minutes flying further and in a less favouralble position on the day.

I maintain from that day to this, that bird escaped but nothing was ever done about it - I will see if i can find result to show difference in velocitys

Would be better to say nothing,  but record what happenned to the o/i/c at the home end., in the event of an impossible velocity being recorded. Too much work any other way!  IT'S HARD ENOUGH TO GET GOOD CONVOYERS WITHOUT CRUCIFYING THEM. LOL.

if they know the baskets they escapes from that has to be re marked or hold all the birds for a few hrs and then lib that will let you know the birds that escape if fanciers are honest they will phone sec and let him know about early arivals but the race is NOT void its the same if a basket or single birds dont go when libed common sence and honesty helps in that situation
