I have two pairs of Wall Lunt & Green birds down on eggs just now. I am going to auction 2 YBs from between these pairs. The purpose is to raise money for a friends niece who is seriously ill. She will more than likely require expensive treatment costing around £250,00.00 in America. I realise this is not the best time to be auctioning YBs but with such a huge sum of money to be raised time is of the essence.
Phoebe, who is 2 years old is suffering from Neuroblastoma which is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. About 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year and most of these are less than 4 years of age.
Neuroblastoma is a complex tumour, which arises either in the sympathetic nervous system or closely associated adrenal glands and is usually, although not always located in the abdomen.
In Phoebe’s case the tumour is above her left adrenal gland and it has now metastasised into her lymph nodes, bone marrow, pelvis and spine.
Children with advance-stage disease (stage 4) have a significantly decreased chance for cure despite intensive therapy.
As with most cancers the cause of Neuroblastoma is unknown
Phoebe has now to undergo 70 days of chemotherapy, surgery, high dose chemotherapy, radiotherapy and differentiation treatment. All of this treatment will take around a year to complete.

For more information on Phoebe visit http://www.phoebemacaskill.com.

The two pairs were bought direct from Wall Lunt and Green and were organised as a favour by a mutual friend. I am in no doubt these are quality birds though as I am in my first year with racers their young have not been tested by me. The 4 birds pedigrees are full of  Fed, Open, Combine and Amal winners. The brief descriptions below are how Les described the birds on their pedigrees.

Pair 1.
Hen GB 05 CH11020 This hen has bred 1st prize winners, both of her parents have bred winners up to Fed level.
Cock. GB06D31312. This bird should breed pigeons for the longer distances, 400 miles plus. His breeding is exceptional.

Pair 2.
Hen GB06N82490.     Bred from 2 proven breeders, Sire has 1sts in Fed, Combines and sired a 1st Amal.
Cock. GB06D31385 Half brother to Fed, Amal winners, his half sister is “polly” 1st Amal and 2 x 2nd Amal to loft mates and she bred 1st Fed, 2nd Lancashire Combine.

If anyone wants I can Fax or post a copy of the pedigrees.

The YBs will go to the highest bid at 9pm next Sunday 16th August. Either post your bids on this thread or Pm me and I will post the amount. if bids keep coming in after 9pm I will wait till 5 minutes go without a bid.

Many thanks. Feel free to post or PM me any questions.

Al.

Thanks to every one for their bids and offers of birds.I thought I might of been able to raise 50 or 60 quid with my two but things are already looking an awful lot better. Phoebe's family will be extremely grateful.

I'm not sure if webmaster can tidy this auction up to list the lots etc to make it easier to see what bids and birds are etc?

I will offer a pair of Stamvaeter YB's (2009)

I think this thread needs reorganising if one of the mods is prepared to it in a similar format to the site fund auction.

My donation is on this link -

http://www.elimarpigeons.com/Auction/item.php?id=3641&mode=1/

I have placed it on Elimar as it brings this cause to another audience and may hopefully help gain donations.
