Yeah , I have been looking at the 'forcast' and Sunday seems a far better day , band of rain over much of UK on Sat. Will get a better picture tomorrow i guess.

I think that clubs should basket saturday night for a race on sunday, i also think we should use a bit of common sense when it comes to young birds, a hold over for them looks enivitable if basketed on the friday.

just like to point out that on wednesday last week it was showing this forthcoming saturday too be sunny.....
all it takes is a slight change in windspeed or direction,ie:1 mph. and everything is diferent.
me myself i leave it too the guys who take the blame for it all,the race controllers.
and coming on a site and talking about it could put undue pressure on these guys and make couse them to make stupid mistakes.

I will probaly take your advice. as you say the choice is ours, but as i said before a bit of coomon sense would not go a miss. when every week we read here on pigeon basics about massive losses all over the country.

I think, personally, that there will be masses of losses all over regardless of what and how they do. I don't for a minute believe that the real causes are entered into. Why, well becuase it would go against their' grain and the 'Norm' as to why. Further they believe that every body is in the same boat.
I further believe that the reasons started to deteriate from the end of the 60's. Again, I fear, too many don't want the truth, and won't accept it when they hear it.
Yes there are always 'Thoses' that make it pluasible and hence the fanciers of today choose to carry on as they did last year and the year before etc. etc. with ever more and more deteriating results.

Agree totally. However, Warwick fed basket sat race sun. For me I like the youngsters to have a holdover inland, before they go over the water.

pigeons are meant to race not just sit in the pen and look at
