hi ,
i was wondering if anyone on this forum uses rapeseed oil on their pigeons corn .
if anyone does , please could they tell me whether they use it on their race team ,moulting pigeons , or breeders . also could they tell me what benefits it has for the pigeon .

go for it mate , used all year round twice a week on all stock , when adding yeast to the small seed , fatty acids , omega oils , and other enzymes lacking in the corn that make up the staple diat

This year I used an oil specially prepared for pigeons. I noticed that it contained sunflower oil.
I priced this in Tesco and found it to be considerably cheaper than the oil sold for pigeons.
I feel there is scope here to mix our own blend of oils as required by using supermarket available ingredients much more cheaply than the commercially available blend.
Yes I will include Rape seed oil next year when I start blending.

i use  1 part rape(vegetable), 2 parts sunflower, 1 part flax, 1 part wheatgerm  2 garlic cloves in a bottle in the fridge twice a week
dried with seaweed powder, or brewars yeast and when breeing sma milk
