Its a reoccurring problem so I thought I'd post up a short piece to help. You've signed up but can't postThis is probably due to your membership not having been validated. When you signed up you should have received an email with a link to click on - this is the validation process. Sometimes this email gets swallowed up by an over eager spam filter. So check your Junk mail folder, or Spam folder on your email account. If you can't find the email, or think you typed your email address incorrectly, just send me an email at forum@pigeonbasics.com and I'll manually validate your account, and amend your email address if needs be. You've forgotten your username/passwordFirst thing first, if you can't remember your username (or not sure you've got it right) you can enter the email address you signed up with in the username box, and providing you've got your password right you'll be signed in as normal. If you've forgotten your password, if you click the Forgotten Password link by the login box you will be asked to fill in your email address. Make sure its the same email address that is associated with your account. You will then receive an email that contains a special link that will enable you to reset your password. Once again, if you don't get this email, check your Junk or Spam folders, and if you still have problems email me at forum@pigeonbasics.com.
Whatever the circumstance don't try and sign up again. This only causes more confusion, as you will have to have a completely new email address, and the crossover of usernames and passwords causes problems later down the line. Anyhow, having multiple member accounts (without a pre-approved valid reason) is against our rules. |
