I caught the pigeon who is quite tame really. He is now in our garage and has water and all I had to give him was rabbit food as there are seeds in it. I will give him some rice in the morning. Hopefully he will feel like flying away so I will let him in the garden first thing to see how that goes. What I read on his ring was HET 1912, hope someone can help me with that so I can call the owner. Many thanks for the replies so far.
