If I get a bird in that will not clear and is reported the first thing I ask is the bird valuable if not is it worth your time and trouble to arrange transport or, you can leave it here, myself, I like to get my own back as mistakes happen with humans and birds.

im with you on that chris..theres 2 sides to the coin 1.i phoned a chap his bird was hit by a car ...a very nice chap indeed he was happy to be informed of  what happened 2 it , ive sent his ETS ring to him and crushed its life ring..........on the other hand i reported another not 20 miles from here he phoned when i was unavailable and spoke to my son telling him to tell me 2 kill it coz its banged its wing......out of order???????  also i must add  nearly everyone whose birds ive helped repatriate have been brilliant and courtious bar 1.....

chris nobody is saying your not being helpful, but a fancier who cant be arsed [for want of a better word] picking a stray up off you after youve been out of your way with the same bird once before in my book doesnt deserve helping..........pete

i thought that it was because pigeon racing wasn't recognised as a sport that club premises became liable for business rates because sports clubs are exempted....if i'm wrong..i'm wrong but thats what i thought.

i lost 20 out of 30 ,the 2 that have been reported 1 is in durham and 1 in essex [both will be picked up one way or the other]however if all 20 got reported thats me out of it ,regardless of all the talk about claiming your birds back, no one can afford to get all the birds back, however manners cost naff all, with the cost nowdays of getting birds back the rules must change to reflect this

Has the bird been claimed now Chris?
I must admit your comment ref Gail at the WHU is certainly out of character, she has always been polite to me and beleive me, i've thrown her some curve balls at times.
