Hi, first of all I know nothing about pigeons, but I have found one in my gardens last night that appears to be injured and unable to fly.

To protect it from cats etc, I have put it in a cage and secured it in my shed. I have put some water in with it and the best I could do for food was some bread.

To be honest I am not really comfortable handling pigeons, but this morning I have picked it up and identified a green ring.

The numbers on the ring are... GB...08  T46203.

I myself live in Warrington, Cheshire.

Any help to identify the owner would be appreciated.

Well done for protecting this bird.  Hopefully, the number Rose has provided will find the owner and it'll get sorted.  Thanks for your efforts, Chas47

Thank you for your replies. I have contacted the above number and the gentleman will get back to me later and hopefully, identify the owner.

In the mean time, what food can I get for the bird, he has plenty of water in his box, but have been told that bread is not that good for them.
