I am looking after them and may give them to one of your Forum Members who I have been chatting to. The former one is quite tame but the latter isn't very. I have called them Walter and Wilbur (not sure of their sex). I did catch the new one - accidentally in my home made trap, but I haven't anybody to give it to and I need to trap the other one so I let it go, but at least my trap worked. I hope I don't get any more - two is enough for me........and I get the neighbour's cat in and I have a resident blackbird!!!!
spencer have you tried to contact the owner's of the birds as they will need to be transfered or collected by them if they permit you to rehome the birds you need transfer papers
But good of you to take care of the birds have you seen the pigeon in my kitchen thread by david it's a great story maybe you could keep the birds and join the fancy
What a question!!! Of course I reported it. The owner had supposedly passed away and I talked to a chap who had taken it on. He said it might return if I fed it since it was in a bad way which I did, but it never went and seems to depend upon me. I have worked hard with these birds, trying to get them on their way and it has cost me in food. I have also been PM'ing one of the forum members and she would take it off my hands since she is close by. Unfortunately, I think she is on holiday.
gadgetgeezer i lost your phone no thank you for looking after the bird and dropping it round to me eventually found out who it belonged to and i managed to get someone to take it to essex for me yesterday just spoken to the owner and it and it was back home again this morning and he said to say thank you for looking after the bird and helping to get it returned to him
