Seen lot of the breeds do it over the years cant say anything really particular plenty of good crosses just need something that is capable of doing the distance and the hours for you
Have to say thanks to Nikolaas Gyselbrecht of pipa for letting me use the pictures Latest on Barcelona race In normal circumstances, the pigeons will be liberated friday morning and the first arrivals will be normally saturday very early in the morning.
The weather forecast on Friday tells us that the weather in France is pretty good and the wind forecast says that there will be light south and a little east wind.
If it stays like that chance we could get good bird over here
Nobodys too small for it some of the best performances i seen have been from small lofts over here most not sending more than a couple of birds its just waiting for that right bird that you know could do that sort of race for you and putting the work into them and getting them right to go
talking of small lofts i got 3 yearlings and 2 5year olds one of which is the one on rout to barcelona ,that is my race team ,the others have gone AWOL trying to see if they got what it takes to fly the distance .and at the moment i got 20 young birds ,dont think you can get mutch smaller that this ATB les.

Need the older experienced pigeons for this sort of race there were birds that were older than 5 going You only need one to win it Les and when i did the marking for it there were plenty just sending the 1 bird
Barcelona birds were liberated at 8.45 am our time and the weather was fine but the winds were variable
Buy birds from a racing fancier, not from PIGEON DEALERS. Generations of untested birds will leave you with an empty loft and wallet. THINK before you spend on strain names!
