if they are babies, get them settled, coming to you for food and as soon as you feel they are settled, feeding well etc then just let them come out of there own accord, don't chase them or anything just let them find there own way out for a look around and then call them back in when your ready.

I have had them since Saturday...what is the best time scale for letting them out

in the evening around there normal feed time as they will be looking for food.

yes, if they are coming to you for food and are settled, the younger you can get them out the better.

you need to be sure they are settled in the loft 1st

sounds like your in a good position, design and build your own loft and help from the family, thats as gooda start as your gonna get!
