Hiya guys, I got some young racers from Dougie at the weekend and this is the first time I have had racers. Can you tell me what is the best ways to go about letting them out to fly and what do I have to do before I let them out. cheers

if they are babies, get them settled, coming to you for food and as soon as you feel they are settled, feeding well etc then just let them come out of there own accord, don't chase them or anything just let them find there own way out for a look around and then call them back in when your ready. Just take it slowly with them! Phil

in the evening around there normal feed time as they will be looking for food.

yes, if they are coming to you for food and are settled, the younger you can get them out the better. Can they see out of the loft?

best way to start is find a local fancier that will mentor you. What are your intentions and why have you decided to keep pigeons? Phil
