Just heard snrpc pigeons 100 miles from racepoint at 8.45am.  left muirhead last night after marking.  birds crossed channel by rail from folkestone. first ever for british racing organisation to use this facility. birds expected on site by mid-day. excellent work by all concerned especially gg who worked tirelessly to make this possible.

The best of birds in good hands. Lets hope we get a good race now. Good luck and good returns.

how manny birds are away

As you say johno a lot of work has gone into the organisation of getting these birds through the "chunnel" and gordon must be congratulated on his efforts. lets hope it is a good race with good returns for all concerned.

I hope this works out well .if the prices can be kept down this must be the preferred way for the birds to travel.
Good luck guy's lets hope its not a smash or everyone will blame the chunnel.

Raised this several times over the years, (wondered why the Chunnel wasn't being used) last time when we were designing our new Fed transporter as our own Fed has Grangemouth road-rail terminal with direct links to the Continent via the Euro-terminal at Mossend (Lanarkshire) - Europe is hours away from Scotland, not days. Mentioned a detachable container-type body giving a pigeon transporter that could go by road, rail, air or sea.

Well done.

A big well done to all especially the tireless workers.
The shorter time in transport and the first class transportation facilities offered by the SNRPC can only benefit the welfare of the pigeons.

Perhaps the reason for no response is that on one on line at the moment knows the answer to the question.n

i dont know? regardless of how many birds away the point being made is that the birds will surely benefit. if it is the same as previous years there will be around 500 birds away.

If the weather is good Friday morning earlt is the plan but it's all down to weather now.

i think £20 to join. £5 per bird for gold medal race. four races, inland race., gold medal race, tours or equivalent race, arras. four in all with the added faciltiy of transport to saintes via the nfc. saintes birds marked at muirhead. ets catered for at muirhead. all systems. bricon,tipes, unikon,

vincent you mean get the birds there quicker because they have been in the basket from wednesday just the same as the snfc
gordon geddes seems to get things done thats for sure

using the train no rough crossing. lets the doos rest for longer. must be an improvement.

No not the same as i did not mention the snfc,only paying complements to SNRPC for a job well done.

Look mate, i have not commented on the snfc ,so no need to apologize,there is no hidden digs in my post,just honesty,this was not a race.

lots of wee bonny scottish doos trying to get home frae "the green fields o'france" this weekend. All decent doomen will wish each and EVERYONE of them a speedy return.

good luck to all waiting on birds from france this weekend hopefully the returns will be good.
