Considering, some guys were predicting a harder race. It didn't turn out too bad, Did it?
I got 8 from the 9  I sent to Fourgeres,  the injured yearling, although handling well is missing.  I don't know why, but I can't seem to get an early one lately. I,m 15 mins behind the winner of my club but had 5 out the 9 in the clock within 20 minutes. And all looked well on arrival from the 360 mile race. Funny old game, Aint it?  LOL
What are they like? A guy in Wiltshire, at a place called Melksham, phoned me afew days back reporting the lost yearling in question. He said  he would try to liberate it further north, adding that it was in fine fettle. It arrived this morning, and I phoned him straight away to thank him for giving it a jockey. The guy thought it was still there with his own birds, saying that he could not give it a jockey. Anyhow it arrived when I was putting the w/hens in with this weeks team, so I promply put his hen in with him. He's just had a 150 mile or so single up so to speak.  We mark a day earlier this week and this will be the last race for half my channel team, before next weeks big one. Do you think that I have done the right thing?
