Hi guys i need to buy some new nest bowls but there are so many to choose from which are best for rollers

I have a few clay bowls and some plastic dandy nests but i need some new 1's and want to know what would be best for them

The only clay bowls I have found recently have holes on the bottom and need to be used with a nest felt but you may be able to find some solid ones if you search the net.

I don't know if you can still get clay bowls. Most of the bowls I've seen are plastic. I've used paper mache dandynests in the past, but don't think they are too hygienic. I use the german design, in my opinion its the most hygienic and allows an air flow under and through the nest. Needs a nest felt though, lots of bad publicity on them just now, I use the latex bonded ones, and I keep them - wash & disnifected every year. So if you are going to use them, be careful which you choose.

cheers at the min it is not a worry now my reason being on my post LIVID some toerag has let all my new birds out and i have little faith in  their return as they have only been here since 10/06/08 4 days not settled in so i am going to have to save up to restock again 3rd time now 2 hawk strike and then a little toerag does this

the plastic ones are far easier to clean and disinfect at the end of the breeding season
