With regards to Barts comments it would have been more cost effective to have went with the National and duplicated back into the Fed and the same on our next coast race Wincanton/Eastboune.One set doos and the saving on training and time would be benificial to all parties.Food for thought next year.
100% correct Budgie. Lanarkshire are last to take advantage of this facility.Think of the big birdage we would have coming into the west section with the help of Lanarkshire. Definately the way forward because even the mighty Lanarkshire fed is losing money going to the coast themselves
To tell you the truth Derek i would be against us going with the national as i usually send all my yearlings to the longest inland race as they are all coming into the 1 area but if we went with the national i would'nt be sending any as they would just get dragged up the east side of the country and would keep going as most yearlings do and we would'nt be seeing many of them back...am i being selfish here? yes i probably am but when i go to our fed meeting i'm trying to look after number 1 mate and that is our fed birds 1st and foremost but this year i hardly have any yearlings left so it wont matter this year anyway
better to get dragged up the east than get hawked up the west yesterday just showed what lanarkshire and the westside can do in a north wind its all down to the wind
