hi all
i have just got a yearling back that went miss last july from a training toss as a y/bird ring number GB2007R26868 BLUE COCK
it is in fantastic condition and has a blue plastic ring on it
what gets me is someone has been breeding of it and could not be bothered to report it
i need some advice what would you do with the bird it is very well breed from 2 top racers.will i be wasting my time keeping it till next year and race it or put it to stock as i say it is well breed
if the person that had the bird is looking at this post you should be ashamed of your self
thanks for reading

young birds make mistakes and deserve a chance.
I had one 3yrs ago, lost it training and was reported a few weeks later, when i fetched it it had apparently been floating around the area but was in cracking condition.
Again it was well bred so I decided to keep it in and try it at stock, he bred a winner in his first nest and has gone on to breed others for us and others.
If he doesn't breed you anything then he is still young enough to put on the road and race him.

I personally would train the bird us and get it back on the road - see what it is made of......................

If he is good enough he will come through, he can't be that bad if he has remembered where he lives after all that time......
