For the UNC?

Some had good returns - some not so good
From a personal point of view - although returns good - it was not a good race - very gappy - pigeons dehydrated

1 missing - 1 reported 100 miles west - 1 injured from 12 sent

but some have only 50% of their birds back

we weren't - it was the only chance of a race

the weather was fine at that time - the East wind did the damage
I believe the convoyer had a half hour window in which to get them up

the wda were at Arras and we had a crappy race with experienced pigeon men dropping 9's and 10's. I sent 7 yearlings and got 5 back. 3 on the day and 2 the next morning was a bit disappointed at not being anywhere near the result but as its my first ever channel race  must be doing something right to get most of the birds back depsite it being a crap day
