Here we have a selection of top QUALITY young birds donated by some of the country’s top fanciers. Have a read though and see some of the young birds that have been promised.
Bidding is until 8pm on Monday 18th February 2008. No bids will be taken after this time, so please get your bids in early!
Minimum bid is £35 per bird.
Lot 1: - Donated by Mr Harold Short from Sheffield. Mr Short has 2 R.P.R.A. awards to his name and has been top prizewinner in 2 clubs on many occasions over the years. He mainly keeps Janssen and Brasspennings. The youngster donated here come straight from the stock loft. The sire is a Brasspenning cock who has 8 x 1st to his name paired to a hen from direct Janseen breeding. (Please note this youngster was rung on weekend 2nd Feb so will be ready very shortly)

BID = £100Lot 3: - Donated by Roy ‘Banty’ Emerson, from Co. Durham. This man needs no introduction and has been constantly at the top for the last 60 years. This last season has been, as said by the man himself, his worst season ever, due to the building houses all around his loft! Lot 3 will one of ‘Bantys’ best a Staff Van Reet’s. (Mr Emerson has only paired up around 1st February – this will give you some idea of when they will be ready.)
BID = £40Lot 4: - From the same loft as Lot 3. This youngster will again be from one of his best pairs and will be a Van De Rhee.
BID = £50Lot 5: - Donated by Davenport & Roberts, from Chirk, North Wales. Well what can we say about these boys! They have had a fantastic few seasons together and here are a few of their recent results. 2 x 1st Section NFC. 2 x 7th, 13th, 14th etc Open NFC. 1st & 2nd Section E BBC, from 309 miles with young birds. 10th Open BICC old birds from Falaise, flying 160miles further than the winner. 1st & 2nd Chester 2-Bird, (2 came together!) winning £1380. This lot will be a Pure Hybrect, coming from a direct son of the ‘Twisted Beak Cock’, which is a son of ‘Junior’ (7x 1st). Class breading here! Paired to a class Hybrect hen, you won’t be disappointed with these!

BID = £70Lot 7: - Donated by R Chapman & Sons. Mr Chapman has won 9 RPRA Awards and has topped the Derbyshire Federation on numerous occasions. He is also the winner of 1st Midland National. This lot will be from Mr Chapman’s best birds. Fanciers that know of this loft will know they are going to get a top class pigeon!

BID = £40Lot 9: - Donated by Phil Bates and Son, from Bagillt, North Wales. 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th North Section and Open Ashford WSRNFC. 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th North Section and Open Littlehampton WSRNFC. 2007 was another great season for these lads, in the Welsh South East National race from Maidstone in May they took 1st, 2nd, & 4th Section and Open from Maidstone (4,634b) Then one of the best ever performance you will ever see was achieved, this partnership took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Section and Open (yes they took the first EIGHT positions at Open Level!) Welsh South East National from Lillers, across the water! (1,638b). Also winners of the Chester 2-Bird twice, and over the years have won more than 20 x 1st Section’s at National level. Two seasons ago their club joined the Wrexham & District Fed and for this period they have been premier prizewinners in this strong federation! Well onto the bird donated and what can I say about this one! It speaks for itself. ‘The introduction of Syndicate Lofts birds from Peter Fox has made a remarkable contribution for us to win at this level of performance. We have therefore decided to donate you a pair from our principal breeders namely a daughter of Golden Gaby, winner of 1st National Orleans (12,875b) 2nd Arras (6,124b) 3rd Nijvel (3,553b) etc, etc (sold at Blackpool Jan 2006 for £15k), when mated to a son of Morning Star, winner of 36 prizes in 39 races in just 2 seasons! Including 1st Etampes (1,480b), 1st Chantilly (2,885b), 1st Hensies (1,736b).

BID = £250Lot 11: - This lot is kindly donated by Stuart Wilcox / Raymond Moleveld. This lot is a Dutch Janssen bred the same way as Ace Young Bird WOESRC 2007. A g-son of 3 x 1st National up to 25,500b. The breeding comes from De Klak (Moleveld) and Harm Vredeveld, the dam is a dtr of Armstrong 1st National Morlincort 25,500b when paired to a sister of Hero 1st National 19,900b. Sire is a son of Musketier 3 and a sister to 6th National Ace Pigeon WHZB. What a cracker!
