What are peoples thoughts on Pent Roof and Tiled roof, does the tiled roof give someone the edge over someone with a pent roof.

I have both but much prefer the pent roof as long as there is plenty of air moving through the loft, I cant see that it gives anyone an advantage.

Hi Shelbin,
You seem to have got it wrong,a pent roof can be tiled, and if you put a big fall towards the front, you will have no problems with water being blown under the tiles, even without felt, also you can see what`s on the roof, unlike apex type, where a cat could be hiding.you must mean the pro`s and con`s of Apex(Many offset) V pent....and i`ve seen some pent roofed loft far superior to certain apex type.
If you have any worries ,just try to put a false ceiling in,with moveable front section,so you can vary the opening, nights, windy weather,or if you expect big variation in tempreture in racing season.
                Best Regards
