AS ANY ONE EVER CUT THE CLEES ON A PIGEON. I HAVE 1 OR 2 BIRDS WHICH SEEM TO HAVE EXTRA LONG CLEES AND WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE O.K. TO SHORTEN THEM A BIT.I BELIEVE IT IS DONE IN PARROTS E.T.C. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFULL NOT TO CUT TO SHORT OR ELSE THERE IS A LOT OF BLEEDING,ANY IDEAS.
you are welcome i have done it many times on pigeons and budgies if by chance they do bleed a bar of soap handy just in case stick in the soap take out trying to leave a little soap on it i do hope this will help
Take more care with black clawed birds as it is difficult to see the vein. I bought a pair of nail clippers for clipping dogs claws as it has a sliding jaw and does not crush or splinter the claw have used them when the top beak grows bigger than the lower one.
